So…I received 1 x 4000 lumen for the handle bars and a 1 x 1800 lumen as a head light. I ride a mountain bike and mostly ride single track but also train on dirt country roads, rail trails and hills/mountains in the Coromandel.
Attaching the lights to both the bars and my helmet was easy, the units are quite small with 3 light settings: Full on light up the night, moderate setting and a kick arse disco flashing setting. The batteries are relatively big for the size of light but they need to be, giving a 4 hour life at max lumens. Once installed on the bike you quickly forget about the batteries….it’s all about the amazing powerful light these 2 units give out. At around 2000 hours in the middle of the Coromandel country side it’s a black as the inside of a cow, but these lights absolutely carve a path for you. It was just like riding in a really well lit tunnel. I totally recommend these lights, the quick response from Mike over the nett and through email was also most welcome.
